Illustration process

I was very happy when I was asked by Elissa Sursara to contribute with an illustration to help with endangered species, I just finished this tiger illustration made specially for her to use in tshirts, thermos, etc. I just love animals and I am so happy to help in this way.

Elissa Sursara is an Australian ecologist, journalist and filmmaker working on behalf of endangered species, threatened habitats and all animals in crisis.

She works for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, she is an ambassador for WWF’s climate change campaign Earth Hour, as well as Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors and many more.

Today was a very very hot day! Been drinking a lot of tea with a lot of ice all day!
While the weather was like this outside I got to experiment with oil pastels, it has been so long since I used them. Here are some of the illustrations and quotes I did in my sketchbook.

The cat and the colors are for moleskine exchange 42. The black cat is for Lynne, her subject was superstition. And the other moleskine belongs to Ste her subject is shapes and patterns.

This is for MAIL ME ART, I will be sending this tomorrow. The envelope has a girl on the front and on the back a snail with an empty mind. It came out very colorful. I hope they like it.

I have been really busy with work as an art teacher, this is my second week and I really did not have enough time to paint.

Well I have a brand new store. An etsy store: www.rarot.etsy.com
I have been painting a lot! I have summmer vacations right now and are painting like a wild art woman and having a lot of fun doing it. I sleep really late and wake up again to paint. I would love to sell a lot of my paintings here, this would mean that people like what I do.
I have been doing rag dolls only with one eye, I like this in them since they are rag dolls the children play with them and they start loosing arms and legas and eyes, this is why some of them are missing body parts. Also elephants which I name elephantos and owls, this animal to me is my father.
So here are some of the things I am selling. Mixed media will be the main thing in all of mmy artwork. I will be posting every week or two times a week and have people know me a little more than just my sketchbook drawings and paintings. I hope you like everything I have in the store. xoxox
