Illustration process

I was very happy when I was asked by Elissa Sursara to contribute with an illustration to help with endangered species, I just finished this tiger illustration made specially for her to use in tshirts, thermos, etc. I just love animals and I am so happy to help in this way.

Elissa Sursara is an Australian ecologist, journalist and filmmaker working on behalf of endangered species, threatened habitats and all animals in crisis.

Whale process

Finally I got to do an illustration in my new arches watercolor pad with my favorite watercolors from W&N. These are the photos of the process.

We are getting ready for some sun and ocean breeze. We will be staying at the beach house for a week! I will be working on my tan, eating yummy seafood, swimming in the pool, enjoying the sounds of the waves, reading and maybe some watercolor painting here and there.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Goodbye sketchbook

I am just doing the last page of the most important sketchbook I have done. I had expressed so many things there since I just started it almost two years ago when I left to a very nice vacation that has not ended.

I am so glad I had my sketchbook to express everything I had inside those sad moments that turned into the best thing that could of happened in my life and of course revealing all of the good things I have today.

I never thought that my life would turn 180 degrees in such a few days, since then I have lived the most amazing things!

Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over she turned into a butterfly.

I just love happy endings :)

september

This is a calendar that I made in my sketchbook, only four weeks in each page so I can have room to write about my day and an image describing a little of it.

NEW calendar

This is the new calendar I made with watercolors. It took me a lot of hours to
do but I like the finished poster. This is one of the things that will be for sale
maybe at the end of july.

i love watercolors

These are my cheap watercolors, Pelican but I love them. They are matte and I love all the colors that come in the pack including silver. I usually use these more than the Winsor and Newton because I know they did not cost that much.

watercolor snowman

I have been working really hard on making my dream come true, making stuff I like like painting, cutting, pasting, drawing and creating. This was something I had in mind for a long time.

I know this is not the right time of month to be posting December illustrations but this
snowman is for a calendar I am working on.
Made with ink and watercolor.

moleskine exchange portrait 3

This is my moleskine, I decided to do my self portrait as a queen, the inside of the moley has this bird which I love the contrast between the yellow and the blue and all of the colors I could combine with the blue in the bird.
I am still not done I am still missing parts from the inside.
