Illustration process

I was very happy when I was asked by Elissa Sursara to contribute with an illustration to help with endangered species, I just finished this tiger illustration made specially for her to use in tshirts, thermos, etc. I just love animals and I am so happy to help in this way.

Elissa Sursara is an Australian ecologist, journalist and filmmaker working on behalf of endangered species, threatened habitats and all animals in crisis.

She works for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, she is an ambassador for WWF’s climate change campaign Earth Hour, as well as Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors and many more.

Mail Me Art 2013

This is the envelope I am sending to Mail Me Art. This will be my second time, but this time is a little different because only 200 people were invited and I got to be one of them :)

I chose to send a Makech (mexican insect that they sell at local markets here in Merida with glued rhinestones to their back as pets) made out of felt and embellished with beads and buttons. 

Will be sending it to United Kingdom very soon, they will be showing my piece (if it gets there, fingers crossed!) in an exhibition and in their website and finally in their Mail Me Art book. 

I am very excited about this! 

Wish my art piece good luck so it gets there safely :)

Me as penelope. Not done yet.

Here is a picture of what I have been doing today, it is not ready yet. I still need to do me as a pig. I decided to do myself as a pig because just watched the movie penelope and I loved it.

The giraffe girl that I made is Sara Yurt from Turkey. I hope she likes it.

Since she loves Alice in Wonderland I did her as Alice and I did myself as the queen of hearts. Done with mixed media.

I did something with a lot of color and texture, the theme was urban. I hope Chensio likes it.

These are all the ATC that I made, the fist bunch and all of them have new homes!!! Thank you to the three artists who traded with me.  As soon as I get the ones they are sending me I will post them.
